Your main character is interesting. Because of the way you read him, my first thought was of a noir hero in the style of Sam Spade, as played by Humphrey Bogart. But there was something missing. Most of the way through the story, it hit me. He comes across as a sword & sorcery type antihero--a gritty, dangerous loner with a misanthropic streak. So, a sword & sorcery antihero as played by a young Humphrey Bogart? :D
Will we be getting the full text as well? You have a passage I would like to turn into a quote on Notes!
Hi, Brian. Thanks for you comment. Transom is indeed as anti as heroes come. He's got a bit of a history too, as this is a part 2, preceded by last week's story "Wizard of Athos" but his origin story for the Sci Fi Weeklies series comes in "The First Man," a stand-alone story which I highly recommend, as I think it's one of the strongest in the series. The full text of every episode is always available on my Substack and comes out every Wednesday. Please do feel free to clip. Thanks so much for listening!
Yes. Text comes first. I record the audio from the finished text Wednesday mornings and spend the day editing so that I can release it on Thursdays. So readers get the scoop first!

Thank you! I was wondering if maybe there was a different schedule for the full text. I'll be looking for it.
